Summer Weddings: What to Wear

Last weekends Royal Wedding has well and truly kicked off wedding season! I’m sure most of your Instagram feeds and Facebook pages were filled with pictures of the beautiful bride in her classy Givenchy gown, but can we also take a second to appreciate the glamour and styles from some of the celeb guests!?๐Ÿ˜

With that in mind, I decided to put together a list of some of the biggest trends of 2018 spotted at the royal wedding that you can recreate for your upcoming summer events!

Floral Prints

Floral has been a favourite for weddings for years now. I must admit, I am not a fan of floral print at all, but for people who do like it, it is BIG this year and there are a lot of options to choose from!

Even though Iโ€™m not a fan of floral print, Carey Mulligan stunned in this Erdem dress!

Maxi Dresses

Maxi dresses have also been an easy go-to option for weddings for a while now. Full length and ankle length/calf length dresses were HUGE at Harry and Meghans wedding and there are so many affordable options we can get our hands on this year!

Bright Block Colours

Amal Clooney looked AMAZING in her bright yellow dress! She was easily one of the best dressed at the event (in my opinion!) I don’t look too great in yellow… but if you can pull it off then definitely grab yourself a bright yellow number this summer! Purples, pinks and greens were also seen at the Royal Wedding. This is my favourite trend of them all!

This seemed to be a favourite of the Queen herself too!

Pastel Colours

Another summer wedding, another opportunity for purchasing an ultra feminine pastel dress! Just make sure you stay away from the white territory! Pair with super bright, complimenting statement accessories!๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜ The Duchess of Cambridge, Meghan’s mother and Oprah Winfrey were seen in this simple but stylish trend.

Closed Toe Pointed Shoes

Ok, so closed toe shoes were a MUST for Royal wedding guests. Even though I’m sure this rule won’t apply at whoever’s wedding you’re attending this summer, I think a classic court shoe adds a little class and sophistication to any look! Bonus points if you wear them in a bright colours, ร  la Victoria Beckham!

Can we all just take a second to appreciate David Beckham here!?๐Ÿ˜
