February Favourites

Hello again! Can you believe how quickly February past us by!? I guess that makes up for a LONG January🤣

Time to share my five faves from the past month…

1. Wunderbrow 1-step Brow Gel

I’ve been using Wunderbrow for about two years now, but every now and then I try something new just to make sure I’m not missing out on something great! I have come across a few good products but nothing creates the perfect brow for me more than the Wunderbrow 1-step brow gel. So, as always, I ended up purchasing this product again at the start of the month. When I first applied it again I instantly questioned why I ever tried anything else!

It’s super easy to use and stays on for 2/3 days (as long as you wash around your eyebrows). My favourite thing about it is that it keeps my brows in place. Powder based products don’t work as good for me with my unruly eyebrows!

2. MyFitnessPal

I used to swear by this App. I was the tiniest I’ve ever been when I first started using this but I must admit I did get quite obsessed with my calorie counting because of it so I ended up deleting it once I felt that I was at a weight I was happy with.

I’ve really been struggling trying to get back into eating healthily and losing my winter weight so I decided to download this app again. It’s really helped me to get back on track and has made me more aware of what I’m eating. This isn’t an app that I would continue to use forever but it’s definitely one I would recommend to help you kick start you weight loss!

3. Ballie Ballerson

London friends… have you visited this place yet!? If not, you HAVE to go there ASAP! It’s such a fun place to go with a group of friends.

As it was my best friends birthday we were taken straight to the VIP section where we had our very own ball pit, which made it even more fun for us as it allowed us to dunk, drown, throw balls at each other and basically act like 5 year olds!

4. Carmex Moisture Plus Lip Balm

I actually stole this from my Mum and I’m so glad I did! It’s been super cold here in the UK and my lips have really suffered because of it. This is the first product I’ve tried that actually lasts for a good couple of hours before you need to apply again and as a bonus, it has a nice tint of rose to it!

5. Resistance Band Training

This past month I’ve really been focusing on getting my arse back into shape! I’m taking it a little easy at the moment so my resistance band has been really useful.

The best thing about a resistance band is you can use it anywhere. So, even if you’re snowed in (like we have been here in South Wales) there no excuse not to workout!

And finally, something I didn’t like this month…

National Express

I don’t even know where to start here. I’ve had SO many bad experiences with National Express, I don’t know why I keep booking coaches with them (until now). I mean, obviously the fact that you can get to and from London for less that £20 is great but when the bus doesn’t turn up for two hours and they don’t even have to curtesy to send an email or text (even though they ask for both your telephone number AND email when you book!) is it really worth it?🤔

This week I had to go up to London just for a day but my return back to Wales was disrupted by Storm Emma🙄. Of course these things happen and National Express can’t control the weather! BUT… I checked their website from 7am in the morning to look out for live updates (I didn’t call as the last time I called them I was in the phone for 1 hour and 50 minutes before they answered and they wasn’t even the slightest bit helpful!) and it wasn’t until 10 minutes before the bus was departing that they decided to let everyone know that the bus would be terminating in Bristol due to the weather conditions! I reluctantly got on the bus anyway and luckily for me someone could pick me up from Bristol and bring me back over the bridge to Wales. But so many other people had to figure out a way from Bristol to Cardiff, at their own expense. The worst thing was that the roads were not bad at all and the bus could have 100% taken the trip to Wales!

Anyway, rant over! I think you can tell I’m not pleased with them and won’t be using them again! And I definitely wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

So there you have it, my likes and my dislikes from February! Next week I’m going to be posting a little life update so keep a look out for that!😘

  1. I have never used resistance bands but I’m intrigued! I’m looking to change up my exercise routine at the moment so it might be time to give them a go.

    Ugh, so with you about National Express. When I was still a student I was on them all the time and it was awful. Also they were always either way too boiling or way too freezing? I don’t know what was up with that.

    • They’re really easy to you and I find them very effective! Definitely worth as shot as you can get them cheap on amazon!😘

      Don’t even get me started about how cold it was!😂😂 I honestly wanted to cry! It makes no sense to me that they won’t just turn the heater on!

  2. I still have never been to Ballie Ballerson but I keep meaning to go. I’ve seen mixed reviews about it in terms of how often the ballpits are really cleaned and how crowded it can get so it was quite nice to know you can get your own ballpit in the VIP section. Definitely on the list to check out. xx

    • Yes I did hear a few things before I went but honestly the area we had was all to ourselves so we could literally jump and dance around. It was so much fun! We did go on a Thursday so the weekends probably get a little more crazier…
